Admissions Nurse (RN) Part-time 3-11 pm

We have a position available for an Admissions Nurse!

This is a 3:00pm - 11:00 PM part time position, working two days during the week with an every other weekend rotation to help support admissions activity for our hospital.

A patient just admitted to Encompass Health of Vineland has many needs and they have often just been transferred from an acute care hospital, having experienced a serious injury or medical event. They are stable, but still acute.

We are not like other hospitals! Our patients immediately get involved in their own recovery and they need to understand what to expect, their families need to know how we work and how important they are in that recovery. A new patient may be hungry, be in pain, need medication and may have trouble communicating and we know this is important, but time consuming for our other staff nurses.

Our Admission Nurse handles all of these needs, takes a clinical assessment, checks on dietary concerns, medications that may be required for a 1-3 week stay with us and most of all helps a new patient begin to believe in their ability to overcome serious injury! When new admissions are low a caseload would be assigned, so you will stay current with your clinical skills!

License or Certification:

• Current RN clinical licensure in the State of New Jersey
• CPR certification preferred

• Two years of experience in a rehab or acute care inpatient hospital setting preferred, sub-acute rehab experience in a Skilled Facility also considered.
