POSITION PURPOSE

The Internal Communications Manager provides a broad range of skills to support the company's marketing and communications strategy. Scope of responsibility includes project management and content creation in support of several communication channels; contributing to the company's internal communications and HR strategies; and supporting projects to enhance the employee experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Researches, writes and edits stories, blog posts, emails, talking points, scripts and other communications, facilitating and executing effective distribution methods in alignment with internal communications strategy.
  • Oversees production of The Weekly Feed (corporate newsletter).
  • Serves as primary project lead for HR-related communications, including various projects, cyclical programs and HR leadership content for company channels.
  • Seeks and executes on opportunities where communication can enhance employee engagement, retention and experience through collaboration with HR and other departments.
  • Coordinates with TA to support career seeker materials and channels to ensure alignment with overall brand language.
  • Supports corporate department content writing and distribution.
  • Works with creative team to establish timelines and workflows for supporting graphics and media needs as appropriate.
  • Supports other Marketing Services projects as needed, including bringing knowledge of employee needs to rollout of marketing campaigns.
  • Has strong project management skills to create and maintain necessary timelines for appropriate execution of tasks.
  • This position must sit at our Home Office, located in Birmingham, AL


Qualifications

License or Certification:

  • None


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications-related field required, advanced degree a plus
  • 5-7 years experience as writer, editor
  • Experience working with organizational leadership in a highly matrixed organization, healthcare experience preferred
