Below are some of the most common questions we hear from candidates along with answers to help you better understand our roles, culture and opportunities for growth.

What career advancement options do you offer for RNs?

We offer a variety of career paths for registered nurses at Encompass Health. Staff RNs have the option to participate in our Nursing Career Ladder, which allows nurses to grow clinically while being recognized for their expertise and contributions. For those interested in leadership, there are opportunities to advance into roles such as charge nurse, nurse supervisor, nurse manager and other leadership positions. Many of our leaders started at the bedside and grew their careers here.

Do I need a CNA license to work at Encompass Health?

CNA requirements depend on the state and the individual hospital. Some locations require a CNA license while others do not. If a CNA is required for a role, that information will always be clearly listed in the job posting. We encourage candidates to review job descriptions carefully and reach out to a recruiter if they have questions.

How do current employees describe the culture?

After you apply, our recruitment team carefully reviews each application to identify candidates whose skills and experience align with the role. If there is a match, a recruiter will reach out to schedule an initial conversation. This is an opportunity to learn more about the position, ask questions and determine if it is the right fit for both you and the team.

How does Encompass Health support professional growth?

Professional development is supported in several ways at Encompass Health. Employees may be eligible for tuition reimbursement and are encouraged to attend seminars, conferences and other learning opportunities.
