Position Details:

Encompass Health Business Services Office is seeking a Cash Department Intern who is ready to apply knowledge of business practices in a fast-paced, healthcare environment.

The Cash Department Intern is responsible for supporting the Cash team in a wide range of duties, including accounting tasks such as compiling and organizing reports, inputting data and completing reconciliations. This position may handle documents and information that may be confidential in nature that require appropriate discretion in review and or/processing. This will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in Accounting or Finance. The Cash Department Summer Intern is required to work onsite 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

The Summer Internship Program is a paid, 11-week program (Tuesday, May 28th thru Friday, Aug 9th)

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must work onsite Monday thru Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
  • Must be actively enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Junior/Senior level students are preferred).
  • Class experience in prospective field is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
