POSITION PURPOSE

The Risk Insurance Coordinator responsibilities include exposure gathering/maintenance, accurately maintaining hospital and bond records, communicating exposure changes to insurance broker(s), assisting field with certificates of insurance, conducting data entry, maintaining risk management policies and procedures and intranet home page, reviewing contract, and credentialing requests. Other duties include assisting Director with special projects, billing, assisting field on various risk insurance matters, filing, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASK

Communicates exposure changes to insurance broker(s).

Assists field with certificates of insurance.

Conducts data entry accurately.

Reviews and processes credentialing requests.

Maintains company vehicle and storage tank schedules and other exposures.

Sends insurance questionnaires in a timely manner.

Follows-up with stakeholders for successful completion of insurance questionnaires.

Updates risk management database in a timely manner.

Maintains bond program.

Is responsible for the procurement, payment, renewal, and cancellation of all bonds.

Maintains state property and casualty insurance license.

Assists Director and other coworkers as needed with special projects.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

License or Certification:

Insurance industry designation(s) and AL state insurance license preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.A. or minimum of 5 years' experience in the risk management or insurance industry.
