Position Purpose

The Vice President of Development is a leader in the team responsible for meeting the company's current growth objectives of opening 6-10 rehabilitation hospitals per annum to include solo de novos, joint ventures, and acquisitions.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Understands both the de novo and joint venture development process.
  • Understands and utilizes the current market analysis and bed need methodology.
  • Focuses on tasks that will enable a steady and consistent business development pipeline.
  • Understands the Health Planning function of each state including Certificate of Need.
  • Understands key operational and financial metrics and their application to the development process.
  • Fosters relationships with external and internal healthcare leadership and consultants, as well as other team members.
  • Develops market level development strategies in conjunction with Regional Presidents.
  • Position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, AL.
  • Up to 50% travel required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's in Business or Health Administration or similar degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required, healthcare experience preferred.
