Become the Rehab Therapy Tech Specialist you've always aspired to be
- Coordinate and schedule rehab techs.
- Support daily therapy department processes and operations.
- Assist therapists with daily care and patient therapy as delegated.
- Communicate patient concerns and/or changes in condition to rehabilitation therapists.
- Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
- Enhance patient safety by providing assistance, care, and comfort.
- Suggest processes for improvement.
- Stay aware of data on patient satisfaction and safety.
- Know how specific department performance impacts the overall hospital financials.
- Make recommendations to supervisor on departmental equipment needs.
- Assist with rehabilitation technology applications and modalities as delegated by therapist.
Qualifications
- BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of experience or a specialist certification such as ATC, massage therapist, AS, BS, or MS degree.
