Position Purpose
The Physician Recruiter will be responsible for all physician recruitment activities including lead generation, screening, interviewing, and gate-keeping the selection process with the CEO. Will work closely with company legal and compliance groups to ensure compliance of all federal and state regulations. Ensures that excellent quality candidates are presented and hired.
Responsibilities & Tasks
- Manages sourcing programs (listings, advertisements, postings, job fairs, conferences, residency outreach, etc.)
- Screens candidates to identify qualified prospects; prepares profiles for CEO and senior teams.
- Coordinate all interview arrangements and candidate correspondence.
- Coordinates travel arrangements, hospital tours, and interviews as necessary.
- Documents candidate eligibility to meet credentialing requirements.
- Verifies licenses, certifications, sanctions, and recommendation letters.
- Maintains a database of candidates, including a future pipeline and managing correspondence.
- Make sure all credentialing criteria are met and/or processed to meet regulation requirements.
- Builds relationships with medical schools that offer PM&R Residency programs.
- Participates in activities/events to enhance recruitment presence of company.
- Coordinates the relocation of Physician when required with our vendors.
- This is a hybrid position and Physician Recruiters must be available mornings, nights and weekends outside standard working hours to accommodate the working schedule of physicians.
- This position is expected to travel up to 33%.
Qualifications
License or Certification:
- PHR/SPHR not required but beneficial
- AAPPR certification not required but beneficial
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of full life cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced professional healthcare environment OR 5 years' experience working in an acute rehabilitation hospital or directly with physicians
- Experience recruiting physicians
- Knowledge of PM&R specialty and residency or fellowship programs beneficial
