Position Purpose
The Senior Manager, Clinical Education is responsible for developing, conducting and coordinating clinical education at the organizational level. This position supports a patient focused, team-oriented culture, working in conjunction with other medical, clinical and therapeutic disciplines to ensure optimal service and superior outcomes. The Senior Manager, Clinical Education supports the Clinical Excellence team in creating an environment and culture that enables the company to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Develops and implements programs to monitor and evaluate the quality of the delivery of patient care services.
Develops and coordinates clinical education that complies with laws, regulations and standards of practice
Provides clinical oversight of clinical content development for organizational education.
Creates the Clinical Education Budget with input from national clinical leadership
Oversees the organization's annual needs assessment to prioritize the development of clinical education
Leverages data within the clinical information system to facilitate improved clinical practice
Seeks out available resources for hospital leadership to enhance the practice of rehabilitation and post-acute care.
Develops and maintains business relationships with educational vendors.
Negotiates pricing for courses to meet the needs of clinical staff to support professional growth.
Designs and Oversees the Clinical Education intranet site with educational activities, surveys and updates.
Administers the Learning Management System (LMS) courses for clinical staff company-wide.
Monitors student progress and issues contact hours, as applicable.
Oversees participant registration for clinical education courses, webinars and LMS courses.
Assists in special projects related to clinical education and operations
Serves as member of the following Boards - Nursing Leadership Board, Quality Leadership Board, Therapy Leadership Board, Pharmacy Leadership Board, Case Management Leadership Board and the Educator Task Force.
This is a fully Remote position
License or Certification:
- Clinical Licensure RN, PT, OT, or ST
Minimum Qualifications
Five years of recent clinical experience in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting.
Master's Degree Required
Master of Science or Doctoral Degree in Nursing, OT, PT, ST or Education Preferred
Minimum 5 years of leadership and/or project management experience
