What to expect at an Encompass Health hiring event and how to prepare

What to expect at an Encompass Health hiring event and how to prepare

If you have seen one of our hiring events promoted online or in your community, you might be wondering what to expect. Our hiring events are designed to add to the hiring process and be informative and supportive to our candidates! While interviews can feel intimidating, preparation can help you walk in with confidence.

What You Can Expect at Our Hiring Events

Encompass Health hosts hiring events throughout the year to support new hospital openings and ongoing recruitment needs across our nationwide network. At these events, candidates can meet directly with hospital leadership to learn about open roles, hospital culture and the unique benefits of working in inpatient rehabilitation.

Members of our team are prepared to discuss the specific positions available at each hospital and answer questions about the day-to-day experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Many clinicians find that inpatient rehabilitation allows them to form meaningful patient relationships, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and see measurable progress in recovery. Recruiters will also share information about the benefits of working at Encompass Health, including our collaborative culture, competitive benefits and opportunities for growth and development.

How to Prepare for Your Interview

Preparing for a hiring event can help you present your best self and make a strong first impression. Consider the following tips:

      Bring an Updated Resume
Your resume is a representation of your professional identity. Bring a current version that includes your certifications, licensure, clinical rotations, specialized skills and recent accomplishments. An up-to-date resume allows recruiters to understand your background and quickly identify roles that align with your experience.

      Prepare a Brief Introduction
Before arriving, practice a short introduction about yourself. This should include who you are, the type of role you are seeking and the skills you bring to a health care team. Include both technical skills and interpersonal strengths, as both are essential in rehabilitation settings. If you have leadership experience or are interested in developing as a leader, be sure to share that as well. Encompass Health is committed to employee development through programs such as tuition reimbursement, certification opportunities and leadership pathways.

      Bring Your Questions
Hiring events are an opportunity for our team members to not only learn about you, but also for you to learn about us. Consider asking questions about clinical processes, team structure, mentorship opportunities or what makes each hospital unique.

Hiring events are one of the best ways to explore opportunities at Encompass Health in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether you are early in your career or an experienced professional seeking a change, we look forward to meeting you and helping you discover the many ways you can grow, lead and thrive with us.
