Encompass Acute Rehabilitation Hospital of Ludlow, MA is a Joint Commission Certified 53 bed physical rehabilitation hospital. Our newly built facility treats adults across a wide-array of diagnoses who are recovering from a recent and often significant medical event.

Our patients come to us just days out of surgery or the ICU and spend 1-3 weeks on average at our hospital receiving hospital level medical care and therapy services in preparation to return home to their families. We have experience therapy and medical staff to learn from to help make you a better physical therapist!

The Admissions Liaisonassumes the responsibility for the coordination of an effective, efficient admission process for all patients by receiving referrals, gathering and verifying pertinent information, and completing necessary procedures to schedule and admit patients. This position is a key pull thru person for referrals and complies and inputs statistical information into appropriate hospital systems.

Strong clinical skills are required for this non-treating position. Familiarity with admissions procedures, insurance payer requirements, authorizations, negotiating denied claims and timely submittals of all required insurance verification documents required. Additional experience with managing patient bed availability accounting for diagnosis and precautions as needed.

The Admissions Liaisonprovides a final screening of all information to ensure a patient will be appropriate for the level of rehabilitative services we provide and that the hospital will receive appropriate reimbursement for all planned services.

Qualifications

License or Certification:

• Current clinical licensure as a RN, LPN, COTA, PTA, OT or PT
• CPR certification preferred.

Education, Training and Years of Experience:

Two years of experience in a rehab or acute care inpatient hospital setting preferred sub-acute rehab experience in a Skilled Facility also considered.
